I live outside of a town, in a village, and I’ll tell you something for nothing: there are people here who are a different race to the rest of us. Villagers who have stayed here so long that they have invented their own language. But this is Norfolk, so you have to come to expect it. And no, I am not going to make a joke about people with webbed feet. I don’t think the people with webbed feet would appreciate that very much. So you see, being in a village I have a problem and the problem is this: if my internet or phone line goes down, and our local carrier pigeon service is down with a case of bird-flu, I can’t contact the outside world without physically going out in to it. Which I obviously don’t like to do, because I am a villager, of course. That should be obvious. Fortunately there are people who bring news of what happens in the outside world (when I have a working internet connection this is). People like Enigin! At the link you can find out about an exhibition in Melbourne, which is somewhere we don’t speak of in Norfolk and nobody has ever been to, and it’s all about using less energy. Things which aren’t exactly top priority for the newspapers? Pay attention to energy saving companies, people, because as every day passes we are more and more in need of doing positive things. Better now, then at least we’ll have a planet to talk about in fifty years’time, won’t we?

Did you know octopuses can correctly predict sports events? Paul just knew and managed to advise others on the outcome of quite a few world cup games correctly. Amoung those correctly foreseen are six of Germanies world cup games. Paul the octopus is now a world famous phenomenon watched by journalists around the world for his next move. Just what event will he predict next?

You would think germany would want to purchase this creature to foresee all manner of successes and failures in the future. However it is Spain that is haggling to purchase hime from his current owners. You see Paul the octopus also correctly predicted the final outcome of the world cup of which Spain were the ultimate winners.

The Spanish are very proud of Paul and are already looking out for the best way to protect him (difficult since an octopus tends to take an enormous amount of storage space). In the recent article in the Times newspaper Spanish environment and fisheries minister, Elena Espinosa stated “On Monday, I shall be at the European Council of Ministers and I shall be asking for a [fishing] ban on Paul the octopus so the Germans do not eat him.”

Are you wondering just how Paul the octupus managed to communicate these amazing productions, especially as last I checked octupus’s can’t talk (although they do taste good in a stew-and can seem to scream a bit until they’re cooked)? Me too. Apparently a box with favourite food of mussels was placed in fron of Paul (the octopus). He was asked say who would win the world cup/latest gootball game I presume. He then was allowed to choose one mussel of his choice. Each mussel had been placed with a countries flag on. Well that all makes sense to me now. So next time you want to cook an octopus ask it some questions first. You never know what they can predict. They’re must be some more physcic octopus’s out there–

The blog was sttarted in response to interest from around the world about how to save energy and reduce climate change. The company has web sites and resources available, including lots of information on how to save energy.

Energy is a valuable resources and there is a huge interest in being more accomplished savers of utislizing the worlds energy. Natural resources are not necesarily replenishable, and there is now a crises within the ozone layer scientists tell us. This apparently has been caused by CO2 gasses. This ozone layer change of the world has changed the weather around the world and has caused the earth to heat up.

In order to preserve the earths resources for future generations all of us throughout the world can all play our part in being responsible in saving these resources. Every little action counts. All small actions can create a large reaction and be of benefit. A single person may think what can I do? Does my not using an awrosol can or switching off a light really make a difference?

Well in the business world we see this difference all the time. One penny on its own is not seen as much. However if one sold a new product and undercut competitors sufficiently whilst already having a large market share the amount of sales would still make this one penny of 100% profit of significance especially if the purchasers numered into the thousands or millions.

One penny alone is not so much. However One million or so is quite a tidy figure. Keeping that in mind if each single one us millions of inhabitants on earth do our bit for the environment that is a substantial difference we can make in preserving the earths resources for the future.

Sadly, while books are still popular with many, reading is loosing out more and more to video. And it’s hardly surprising. Even though I read an awful lot I have to admit that watching a video is often preferable.

Then we have energy saving. It’s almost impossible to get people who don’t read much anyway to read about that. Thankfully, though, some people are putting out videos on this important topic, and one of them can be seen at the following link.

And we’re not talking some shoddily thrown together piece of A Level course-work either, we’re talking good production quality combined with a real message: in other words, education. It’s companies like Eniginwho are reaching people who before hadn’t had the opportunity to view and absorb such information.

There is another reason why video is so effective when conveying these messages: the pictures stick in the mind, they are there whether the viewer wants to see them or not. On video, a drowning polar bear just isn’t something that can be ignored by many.

Often it seems (or people would have us believe) that there is some magic solution to saving masses of energy, yet according to Enigin it isn’t like that at all. To them it isn’t about whether or not we use wind-power or nuclear energy or fly about the world less, no, according to them it starts at home, in the every day things that we already take for granted. By doing just a few things differently we can all make a difference – one that can be seen within weeks of making the changes.

Some women are would rather spend their money on Collagen injections for their face instead of raising a young family. And on the other extreme, there are big families of ten to eleven who are that big because they want to scoop up on benefits. However Mrs. Fenton has fostered 25 children over a span of seven years, she must have given a lot of time to her foster children, currently she is caring for three children including a baby and also previously cared for a 15 year old teenager.

“They’re all different so all challenges are different. Some only come for a week, some stay for five years."Mrs. Fenton says.

Regardless of whether they stay for a day or for a century Margaret Fenton deserves a medal. I’ve seen mothers in the park with one or two babies shouting at them to stop messing about and that they can’t get ice cream from the musical van. But Margaret Fenton has cared for many children of a wide range of ages and is encouraging other mothers to foster children too. Apparantly the UK needs over 8,000 extra carers, that’s a lot of people needed to foster children. Margaret is truly an inspiration to mothers worldwide.

Enigin have search bars, and tons of very intriguing information, and all kinds of stuff to look at which is actually quite interesting and worth more than a passing glance. All of it can help you turn your home in to an energy-saving palace of awesomeness where wondrous things happen almost as often as the weather changes (I said almost: this is England): I am talking wondrous things like monitoring the real-time energy usage of your house-hold, all the gadgets that Enigin make, and tons of other stuff that I probably have no idea about.

Dissapointed that my awesome word yielded nothing other than the picture of the world’s fastest land animal, I had another go. This time I typed in Save the earth! Seeing as that seemed to be on the Enigin’s mind an awful lot.

It is important to make sure that you have a solid weight loss plan in place before setting your goals in order to have a full understanding of what can be expected from it.

If you shoot too high for the particular type of weight loss program you are on, you will be disappointed and find yourself feeling terrible. This feeling could lead a person to over eat for the day or simply give up all together. Since you do not want this to happen to you it is important to make sure that you are setting realistic goals. These goals should fall in line with what is healthy. As long as the diet plan you are on is a healthy one then you should be fine with whatever amount of weight that you are able to shed on a weekly basis.

Also, it is important to make sure that you are keeping certain factors in mind. While you may have a goal to drop six pounds a week, for example, that may not happen every single week, even if you are on the best weight loss program in the world. This is simply because your body will go through changes and will sometimes retain more water then other times. And if you are working out, the increase in muscle mass may affect the number you see on the scale. It is perfectly fine to have goals but it is important to make sure that you are a little flexible with them in order to stay focused and feel good about yourself.

It makes no sense to me that woman will wait by the phone for a man to call her in hopes that he will be “the one.” Or we go out and buy bare escentuals makeup so we can paint our faces up to perfection for him. We do live by the false hope that it could happen to us. Love at first sight, tripping and landing in his arms, or even drowning and he gives you mouth to mouth. This stuff never really happens. Because it doesn’t happen to us we beat ourselves up thinking that it will never happen. We will never find the one. We are horrible, ugly, fat, women that will never be married and become cat ladies all because we didn’t have the fairytale ending. It is time for us to wake up and realize that this is real. This is reality not a fairytale. There is no knight in shining armor or Prince Charming. There is however a man who will love you and treat you right, who will do for you before himself, who will want nothing more than to make you smile you just have to wait patiently. Not everything happens over night and some things are worth waiting for and Mr. Right would be one of them. If you have a little patience your dream will come true.
