Hunting out your dream job
Are you absolutely in love with fashion? If you live and breathe fashion but not the mainstream fashion, something more quirky and alternative, then why not take the leap and look for a job doing something you love. Finding work in the alternative fashion industry can be difficult, and more than likely you are not going to find work on pop up stands and notices in shop windows.If you know where to look then you might be starting a whole new career in your dream industry before you know it! Read on to find out the best places to look.

Places like Monster, which is a leading online recruitment agency, has thousands of jobs available every day. If you want to find how to get your head around their system so you can start applying for jobs right away, then follow this guide;

- Type in a keyword relating to the type of job you are looking for and a location. For instance if I was looking for a teaching job in London, I would type that into the search boxes.
- When the results come in (in this case 69 results) you may wish to refine them further. There is a drop down box near the top of the page with the options to sort by relevance, date, distance or salary. So depending on which factors are most important to you select the appropriate option.
- There are also a large number of tick options available on the left hand side of the page in order to better define the search.
- Once I have ticked the appropriate options, and selected search again I am left with only 23 results. All of which now seem more tuned in to my requirements.
- Clicking on the job title will reveal more details about the specific requirements.
- If you are interested in the job at this stage you can select the apply button.
- This will take you through to a screen where you can upload your CV and write a cover letter to go with your application (there is a section on the site that can help you with writing a cover letter).
- Once submitted, you can continue your search and apply for other jobs
