Why do we human beings love to complain about trivial issues?

I am one of those people who love to complain even when happy. In fact, you could say I look for reasons to complain about even when I am actually quite at peace with life. You could say this is true for most of the human beings on this planet. Perhaps as a species, we are never satisfied. I think this is what defines us.

The most worrisome part however is that, you will always see that we complain or crib about little issues. And along with this cribbing… fighting, quarreling, backbiting and gossiping come along quite naturally. I am guilty of it too.

This is what brings me to Haiti. Yes, this sounds like a long jump to a topic which seems as if it has no connection to what I have been talking about. but it does. One natural calamity, and thousands dead, orphaned, homeless and jobless. If anyone has a right to complain, it is they. Things have been snatched away from them for no fault of theirs. And here we are, complaining about a “boring weekend” just because there was no party.

It is this moment that made me wonder, that what am I complaining for? There are people who have lost their everything, and I am feeling sorry for myself because my friend got a new Louis Vuitton bag and I could not! I have now realized that instead of continuously cribbing about insignificant matters, I should actually be thankful for all that I have. My heart goes to all the people in Haiti and their loss, and I am not saying that I feel content about my own life seeing the unhappiness of others. What I am saying is that, we should not spend time moaning and crying over trivialities because one never knows what life has in store for us.

One last thing before I go, I have finally decided to go and book the appointment to get that tattoo that I had gotten on that very drunken night removed. It has been exasperating me for far too long, it appears I have grown out of that whole defiant stage now. However, I was looking on the page for tattoo removal brentwood and I don’t actually know if it will look better afterwards, some of the photos are a little bit questionable! What do you guys think is inferior, a bird or a faint outline of one
